My poor dog is having a bad day. Loose stools and vomits. I am ready for a second shower.
My spouse is off to the grocery store to buy chicken.
As someone who has been a vegetarian since 1972, I am googling how to boil chicken for a dog.
Fortunately I always keep white rice on hand in case I accidentally dose myself with a food allergen but still need sustenance, so that is in the rice cooker sans salt or olive oil.

We took our big fluffy white dog to the groomer for his semiannual bath and she did her best to clean up my truly awful prior attempt to trim his face hair. It's much neater but now he looks like an Afghan hound. On the upside, Afghan hounds are beautiful dogs, so my dog is still gorgeous.

Also pre-brushing. Once all that fluff is thoroughly dry, I'll brush it out and Gibbs will look like he's freshly bathed. Great Pyrenees fur is pretty amazing stuff. Or maybe it's the Komondor fur. Surprisingly easy care in either case.

Gibbs often comes home from a walk with small snowballs attached to his fur, which are a bit of a pain but can usually be knocked off with a good rub down. Not this morning! The snowballs were huge and they were not willing to come off. We ended up dipping his feet into a bucket of very warm water. He hated it. I must now explore preventatives, because that was pretty awful for everyone.

My puppers black nose has turned pink, and I was completely freaked out by it because I thought Gibbs had scraped off all of his nose skin because he loves to snow plow so very much.
Turns out it is a benign and purely cosmetic condition known as snow nose. We should have a black-nosed white dog again this summer.
