Fionn Loch.

It was rather windy (~20mph), one of those days that juggling the dark cloth, lupe and camera controls is hard work. But I am well impressed with the rigidity of the Chamonix, this is a 4s exposure and I was fully expecting there to be significant camera motion blur, but it’s not bad at all, probably OK even for a 16x20 print at normal viewing distance.

@coldkennels @marisa FWIW, I have settled on #PyrocatHD as the developer for Fomapan 100; though if you are into Rodinal it might not be to your liking, the grain reduction from the stain is spectacular. 🙂(It too has become harder to get in the UK, but Nik and Trick sell it ready made.)

Bridge over the River Spey,

Back in the summer when we were up for the D33. My first chance to use the 125mm lens, it’s since become my go-to wide angle instead of the 90mm, as it’s nice and compact. I don’t use wide lenses very often, tend to gravitate toward longer focal length these days, most often 210mm (~70 ff equivalent). Fair bit of movements on this one.

Fomapan 100 (4x5) in PyrocatHD, f32/2s. I intended to shoot it at f16 for even softer foreground, but the slider on this lens is very easy to move and I accidentally nudged it while cocking the shutter. But I prefer this to the second frame shot at f16, it’s soft enough.

Fomapan 100 (4x5) in PyrocatHD, O22 filter to separate the greens from the browns. f22 / 16s (2s metered, two stops for the filter, 1 stop reciprocity compensation).

As typical, I just missed the best of it setting up, and then it started raining as I was about to release the shutter; then it started raining halfway through the 16s exposure, but got something in the end, WIP.
