I'm going to have to look at or maybe @toxi 's library for pen plotting and see if I can tie speed and shading somehow.

A woodburning tool can do half tones and gradients where a laser is essentially pointillist.

A lot more control is possible, I just haven't hacked it together yet. Really excited!

Well, it's a glacially slow process but I'm really liking the way this polishes the paper and gives kind of irregular shading to the wider width lines.

Definitely different from a laser plot!

Mixed my up with my cards today. Making some card holders covered in this freehand, intricate pattern work I enjoy doing so much. They take around 4 hours to make. I’ll put them in my shop once I finish a few more & rest my thumb a bit.

Some this morning. In the you can see a natural crack in the . I base the around these natural features, and go where the wants me to go. Burning smells so good. Campfire, I suppose.
