UI/UX is not an easy thing. And dark desktop scheme can complicate things even more.

Looks like instead of drawing in an app I would rather print sheet of milimetr paper and draw on paper.

I solved my problem with #QCAD, the problem of freezing snap, was due to the type of splines exported from Moi3D, which generates splines with degree 3, so I generated the drawing with #FreeCAD's TechDraw, hull's lines plan now this is manageable, and once again FreeCAD solves problems that I could not solve with #Moi3D. When you work with #Linux you have to come up with new solutions every day.🤨

Beside hatch patterns design issue, there is another #LibreCAD issue with handling pattern tiles: https://github.com/LibreCAD/LibreCAD/issues/1652
Size of tile is not fixed to expected 100mm×100mm square, but is auto-adjustable rectangle that fits to pattern tile content, cropping all the empty space around from Top, Bottom, Left & Right.
While its almost OK to crop empty space from Top&Right, cropping from Left&Bottom (i.e. offset from tile Origin) is a serious bug.

This happen because tiles of some patterns are not correctly cropped by its original designers.
To fix this need to review all existing hatch patterns and crop such broken tiles.

What a stress are software bugs, sometimes it is impossible to determine the problem, because they occur randomly, and when they are reproducible and very often you can not share the files either because they are huge or because of confidentiality problems, if you modify the file by deleting everything what you can't share the problem disappears, so what can you do is nothing. #QCAD

#inkscape with CAD-like parametric drawing capabilities would be killer.

I've spent the best of today trying to understand what is the best FOSS solution for a simple task: given a set of nodes selected from an object (inkscape terminology), I want to scale those nodes by a factor of x2, with a point of origin at the bottom left corner.

My journely led me through reviewing #freecad, #librecad, #qcad, which seem too much (or have various usability issues). Inkscape is almost equal to coreldrw
