@mo я #нипонил точно, какие требования, но из гуйни мне лично для музыки заходит #qmmp. всё отключаю - поддержку скинов (есть дефолтный под #winamp, и, насколько я понимаю, он ваще скины винампа 2.х поддерживает, тысячи их https://skins.webamp.org/ ), визуализацию, передискретизацию - мне в этом деле достаточно прост списка песен и настраиваемых горячих кнопок

Hadn't heard this news yet but somehow that doesn't surprise me.

I think i'll stick with #Audacious on #linux. #XMMS2, #QMMP are two more reasons why i don't need #Winamp or #Windows.

Sad to hear about the passing of the actual llama though.

I've now seen a few posts on #Mastodon about people missing either #Winamp or #XMMS.

For anyone who hasn't used it and is unaware, you can get the same #oldschool #audio player experience with #Audacious by going into settings and selecting the classic Winamp skin under appearance.

There is also #XMMS2 and #QMMP offering alternatives but overall i've enjoyed Audacious the most and use it instead.

@opvolger #QMMP is another alternative for sure. They are similar but #Audacious has been the one i've used both with the XMMS / Winamp skinning as well as the default skin which is entirely different.

Overall the GUI in Audacious seems a bit more refined in some ways, but if QMMP is your preference that's great too :)

#Audacious is a simple player i began using before finding this skin in settings. Since i have enjoyed all the other features it has i've stuck with Audacious.

You're right though, there are other options. Audacious is the one i prefer.

Winamp was a thing for you in the past?

Corporate media now bringing it back to the spotlight after a new release some time back.
