uBlock Origin and SponsorBlock aside, the reason I’m most excited for #iOS17 potentially lifting the WebKit requirement on browsers is because I can’t wait to use #Libredirect on mobile. I’m so tired of having to manually work around #Reddit’s godawful mobile site. Libredirect just automatically bringing me to my #Libreddit instance of choice is such a nice #QOL feature.

My first #request would be to place #items without the item or #material being available and for us to #smooth rooms with furniture in them.

Finally, adding #flooring shohld be as easy as in #rimworld where you just drag a square and floors are placed in the openings, ignoring all walls and placing flooring below #furniture.

Patients have reductions in #qualityoflife from #conditions, and #medications, treatments, etc. treat the condition to increase #QOL. There are zero approved #diseasemodifyingdrugs available for #osteoarthritis, so I guess your simplistic cute could be true. However, #evidencebasedcare should always be the goal. Treating #pain is effective. It's true that a broken bone isn't treated by pain meds, but that's an inaccurate #pov

The penultimate slide in @autgeek’s Autistic quality-of-life talk tonight included a comic from Amii James (IG: amii.illustrates), along with these ‘key things to remember’ (mainly aimed at people working with Autistic people):

• Avoid normative assumptions about what autistic people ‘should’ want/do/be/feel – might well be based on how we were parented – find out what is important to the individual

• Quality of life is SUBJECTIVE – different people value very different things

• Different values and priorities should be respected even where others might disagree or find them hard to understand

• The QoL domains are not independent but impact on each other

• QoL is interactional, not just about the individual in question but also how they are treated by those around them

• We’re going to get it wrong – don’t forget to be kind to yourselves

• There are often things we can’t change but asking questions can help us find the things we can change

I’m currently building lists but was also thinking of setting my home page not to post replies and/or boosts, but I feel like I’ll miss some cool shit if I do that. (Also boosting is the primary means of “discovery” here, so really wary of blocking that.) Thoughts? Experience with this issue?

@futurism @evro I’m surprised none of the engineers are taking the opportunity to double their salary for a few months, but happy to see them taking a stand for quality of life and leaving abusive management.
