I measured the power consumption of my and noticed a non-linear rise, so I decided to plot the data.
It's quite noticeable how the radio reaches 2/3 of its 100% power consumption at already 10% RF output power and 90% just below half way on the RF knob.
Also, the curve starts at 60W... 😬

I have several rigs but I generally work portable. This setup with a 9v/200mAh with 2 watts during a activation yielded 23 11 states in 50 minutes on 40m. All with a and a over 500 miles
