That moment when you need to find out how to debug your #IDE, but the only info you find is about how to debug inside your IDE... Thanks for nothing #DuckDuckGo! I have the weirdest bug ever and I can't find anything about it online. #QtCreator crashes on #GNOME when swiping with three fingers, but not when using the keyboard to switch workspaces. And only when switching to the workspace on the right... This is one of those bugs where I don't even know where/how to report it.

#Qt applications, including those made with qt6, integrate application menus fine. So #partisipate integrates fine with hud @tio . Some Qt applications, including #QtCreator choose to use fonts in the ui significantly below the default desktop point size, and that is useless to me. Scaling only oversizes things which already use correct font sizes. Qt needs an env setting to never go below pointsize X if set, or people should stop making apps that use tiny ass fonts for important ui elements.

Using #qtcreator 8.0.1 built against #qt 6.4.0 in with a Breeze dark theme in #plasma does this.

So I've recently switched from #emacs to #qtcreator for my code editing because I couldn't get smart tabs working for me in emacs. One thing I didn't expect is how clunky the integration of VCSes is in qtcreator. #magit or even just plain vc-dir feels so much clearer to me.

#Qt im #VisualStudio erscheint mir nach ersten Tests deutlich flüssiger als im eigenen #QtCreator. Die Umstellung von #MinGW zu #MSVC war auch kein Hexenwerk… Vielleicht sollte man doch mal an der Performance-Schraube drehen beim eigenen Creator, wenn ihn sogar das fremde VS, wahrlich auch kein Performancemonster, outperformt?
