Hey, exciting news about quad/hex-meshing: Easily ceate planar quad meshes between two line meshes by interpolation. Same applies for hex meshes between two quad meshes. Will be included in the upcoming release 7.7.0 of FElupe on PyPI!

Firebird rises again!
Checked over everything and replaced the camera holder that had split in two parts, as well as the battery holders that were split most of the way.
These ones are printed out of 3201PA-F nylon which apparently doesn’t shrink the same as the original material, and needed some adjustment with drill heads to sink the screws in enough to hold properly.
Hover check ok! No more weird low rpm motor sound either.

Turns out the claims true, this little 4” #quad provably flies half an hour on a single battery ❤️
Charged to 4.15v/cell and flew down to 2.8v and still got 29:30 flight time. Could’ve charged to 4.20v and kept flying until 2.5v within battery spec so even a bit more could be done.
Should be great for having adventures!

As much fun as learning acro is, sometimes I just want to pick a direction and fly out as far as the eye can see - without worries about battery life.
With the comically large Li-Ion battery it can fly up to half an hour, and you can have a lot of adventure in that time. This is the one I’m planning on as my quad for BVLOS eventually as well.

This variant of MAREEP is much more aggressive than its Jhoto counterpart.
These MAREEP enjoy headbutting one another in feats of strength, and the collision of their horns sounds similar to the rumbling of thunder, especially in large groups.
