Pretty bright sporadic (or was it a late Quadrantid) meteor detected on the AllSkyCam last night - just above the north horizon (right edge of image).
Single frame recorded at 18:06:13h UT (each frame is a 40-second capture time)

Preliminary data shows that the #Quadrantids #meteor shower peaked at the expected time of 04-05h UT this morning. This data comes from my own reception of radio echoes from the Graves satellite radar on 143.050 MHz. The count is in meteors per 10 minutes.
My attempt to receive FT8 signals from EI9KP on 34.013 MHz resulted in "nothing heard".

LOOK UP! The #Quadrantids meteor shower peaks tonight into tomorrow, January 3-4.
Unfortunately, the Moon is approaching full, so the skies will be a bit bright. Try to get out late tonight or before dawn tomorrow, and look to the north-northeast.

9m band, anyone?
Phil, EI9KP in the west of Ireland will be conducting some propagation tests on the 34 MHz (9m) band on Wednesday the 4th of January 2022. This coincides with the peak of the Quadrantids meteor shower which is expected to peak around 03:00 to 04:00 UTC on the 4th.

Can you see shooting starts from space? Turns out, yes! The first meteor shower of the decade and we were lucky enough to catch it from the @Space_Station along with the northern lights.
