I really have to remember to set up mouse button configurations for Steam that give me easy access to the screenshot key with my thumb.

For #QuakeII (N64), I didn't get any action screenshots whatsoever since reaching for the key while doing action things tends to not be very feasible.

Or maybe I should just record some video footage next time and extract screenshots from that afterwards.

In honor of the Quake II Remaster, I used #Lutris to download Quake II (which I already purchased from GOG some time ago) and play it with a modern source port ( https://www.yamagi.org/quake2/ ) on Linux. My recommended settings are OpenGL 3.2, with vidgamma set to 1.2 and gl_texturemode set to GL_NEAREST, to brighten it up and keep the textures pixel-chunky instead of blurry.

This may have been the best month to be a PC gamer in I'm not sure how long. #QuakeII as a free update and #BaldersGate3 are completely killing it. My wrists hurt from staying up all night playing quake like I was 15 again lol.

#LimitedRun will be releasing #Quake2 physical (not for PC, that one has a download code) soon-ish. Don't hold your breath until at least 2025 for the expensive sets though.

Jeez. Just found out that the devs have fixed the save-deletion issue with #StrayGods, but now it's been a couple of days and... I don't even want to restore my backed up save anymore.

Guess I'll just start over (not that I got very far to begin with) as soon as I'm done with my #QuakeII 64 playthrough.

Unless I feel like bouncing back and forth between the two for variety. That could be an option. I just don't want to get back on the #ADHD distraction train, though.

Just sunk about half-hour into new #QuakeII re-release + Call of the Machine and it's really good

New levels make use of old enemies & mix them up in different ways, level design is organic and well-done - it plays like a modern FPS.

Graphical updates are very nice.

Call of the Machine for $20 would have very well been something I'd buy. To give away the update to existing owners on Steam was an awesome move.

$10 if you've never played Quake 2 is a steal.
