i remember the time my then-gf was trying to explain to me the differences between romance, friendship, etc....

ultimately the logic was: with [x] you do [a], with [y] you do [b]

i just kept asking: "why can't you fuck your friends? why can't you kiss and cuddle them? why does romance require physical intimacy?"

ultimately the conversation ended with an exasperated sigh on her end: "you know what? i don't know. i don't know why..."

but i'd like to think i detected the slightest "... this Goddamn motherfucker has a point..." in the breath she released that day
