Fires in Canada are causing smoke and haze in New York City. It's pretty bad when the Parks people tell New Yorkers to stay indoors as much as possible--but what about the birds and other wildlife?

Nope, a whole bunch of cars that I passed by also had their cars riddled with fallen ash. So imagine what people are breathing out there 🤢I would be wearing a mask if I was out there for more than 5 minutes!!

I'm not even going to try to capture it in a photograph. It's like the light from one of those old sodium streetlights. It really feels other-worldly.
