These two Parrots I spotted supporting a coat of arms on a building on Queen Street in Glasgow confused me somewhat, until I realised it's the crest of the Buchanan Society and they're meant to be Peregrine Falcons!

Love this building on Queen Street in Central Glasgow, especially that elegant, but imposing two-storey high entrance in the middle. It was designed by Thomson and Sandilands, and was built in 1912.

The stop light timing on is really bad. Two way traffic. One direction has a left turn. Cross traffic. Pedestrians. Cycle looks like:

* 45 seconds scramble pedestrian crossing.
* 15 seconds cross traffic.
* 45 seconds scramble pedestrian crossing.
* 5 seconds straight through both ways on Queen St.
10 seconds only one way and the left.

So every cycle, which is about 3 minutes, you get one bus through, maybe 2 if the second one blows the light. Good stuff.
