This was supposed to be a silly gay shitposting account. This seems like such a kind and conscientious place though, I think I will have to get serious about gay shitposting.

Peeved, baffling millennial academic and teacher in the UK.

We had a social event at the today celebrating International in day, and it went so well despite the snowy weather! I'm really excited to make this an annual Museum program.

Since it's Day, I thought it was time for an !

I'm a PhD student at Oxford where I study mechanics, particularly an idea called determinism: do big and small earthquakes start the same, and does this mean we can determine magnitude before an earthquake rupture is over?

I'm a member of the and communities and am passionate about EEDI work, including co-running my department's LGBTQIA+ group (today we're going for ice-cream! 🍦)

So next Friday, November 18, is International Day of LGBTQIA+ People in STEM, and my (Physics@SFU) department is making plans. One suggestion has been to highlight the achievements of a few notable LGBTQIA+ scientists (preferably, but not exclusively physicists). I have also seen some lists of currently practicing LGBTQIA+ scientists who don’t all have Wikipedia pages but who could be nice to highlight. Please add your suggestions!
