Good to hear it affirmed today by the baby micro queers #QueerInMicro that if you're a senior academic you should be helping and mentoring ECRs to climb the career ladder. Also make it clear that your labs are safe spaces.

If you're out, make it count. Especially if you grew up in a time when there were no openly gay academics.
