TOTALLY F***ED UP (1993): First of Gregg Araki’s “Teenage Apocalypse” trilogy, this episodic, at times pseudo-doc style, piece follows lives (and loves) of six gay young adult friends. The themes really reminded me how far we’ve come in some ways, and also how (unfortunately) we are living some “back to the future” moments today too. 90s lo-fi films are usually a fave, this no exception. Creative, compelling, very well done. #90sfilms #queernewwave
