I've spent a fair amount of time in lesbian bars over the years. Every single one of them has disappeared. Krista Burton's book 'Moby Dyke' looks at the last US bars standing.

Last Friday I was at a #French chat. As far as I know, I was the only person into #BDSM there. We were two #queers: me, a #pansexual man, and a #gay guy. The rest of the group was #straight.

At some point the leader was talking about me as "the master" at landing young folks, as if I have some sort of super power.

Maybe I do have a super power. However, if I do have a super power it is not #money, or #looks, or anything like that.

My super power is #kindness.

I just want to mention this before I try to get off my computer. There are some internalised transphobic people who use their identity as transpeople to kvetch about 'There should be no trans kids', 'A child doesn't know who they are' bla-bla, "I should know, I'm trans' bla-bla.

The Conservatives are a danger to all of us #queers, full stop. And #internalisedqueerphobic queers are a danger to queers too.

I mention this, because the #farright exploit self-hating marginalised people to serve the far right agenda.

I think all of us in the #LGBTQIAplus community worldwide have to figure out what to do about that issue.

The #hardRight (read: the #Republican party) in this country is busy convincing people that the source of our problems are #queers, and #immigrants, and the #homeless, and "#woke" people. Meanwhile they are continuing to facilitate the #redistribution of wealth to the #oligarchs while they have the population distracted.
