Always go back to Thuja plicata for #ThickTrunkTuesday, because it gets really thick and magnificent. And it's my favorite tree, big one grew near my backyard growing up. For #ThickTrunkTuesday I give you a double double, the world's largest Sitka spruce (Lake Quinault) and another of the same species of near-record proportion (Queets River), which I'd say also qualifies for #Mosstodon. These are traditional lands of the #Quinault and #Queets, noted dugout canoe makers and salmon people who and have lived here for millennia. Stay alive, #GetOutside
