My favorite solo musical artist is #JoannaNewsom, but I can't listen to my favorite album of hers, Have One On Me, too often, because that journey makes me ugly-cry at least twice every time.

Do you have any albums (or just solo songs) like that? Favorites that still need to be handled with care because they hit a bit too hard for daily listening? I'd love to read about them!

The one time of year that has always made me smile is the Christmas holidays. Time off with family, catching up with friends & just trying to relax.

But I have found myself questioning the validity of the holidays & finding it all hollow. Even with the great memories I have with the kids, I have lost the magic & meaning of it. Just don't care anymore.

Perhaps Im burnt out or just overworked. But just wondering how to find that spark again so I don't ruin it for the wife & kids. 😪

Hi! Some people are on server instances where the max char count is much higher than 500 chars. And it seems this is a hack or compile time option?

But.... is there a way I can do this with ActivityPub tools like WriteFreely or Plume and then embed my text from there into a toot here? Or do I need to find (or create) an instance for this purpose?

My husband has just stolen my sunshine by being extremely unenthused by my new wrapping paper case.
It’s got pockets for labels, ribbons & sellotape & all my paper is now stored so it doesn’t get crumpled & torn.
I think it’s fab & can’t believe I never bought one years ago.
He thinks I’m mad as a hatter.

General new to mastodon Q - images in my "feed" are blurred this a.m. tap on the little "eye" & can see them.

Is this a setting I have missed (could see ALL images yesterday)?
