Just added a bit of performance optimization to the next #Questlog update this morning. The page becomes pretty slow sometimes with response times over 300-400ms. Especially when many games are visible.

I didn't really fix the cause but until I have time for this caching in the background will definitely help.

I think after a bit of testing I finally can release this update and you can enjoy ranked playlists and more. 😊

I think I have to write some more tests to be sure I don't break anything before I can release this update. More changes than I thought. 😅

How one little feature can lead to so many little changes along the way is always amazing. 😅 I don't think this is a huge update in features, but the code base changed a lot.

For all people that don't keep track what the coming #Questlog update is about: Playlists. Reordering, top lists/ranked list etc.

I think I will release this update in two steps.

I'm iterating through multiple versions of reordering. I should settle on something and just release it…

I really have no idea why perfectionism is still blocking me even I know nothing of this is final and will be reworked once #Questlog is "feature complete" (aka v1.0).

I should go to the next features for playlists. The list of things I want to add for this update is a bit longer than just reordering. 😅

I really have to prioritize the feature that release dates are shown per platform. It's quite confusing sometimes when a game is announced for a platform at a later date.

Timed exclusive deals are the worst offenders here but the release of #BaldursGate3 shows another problem.

It will come to #Xbox but because of the #XboxSeriesS not this year anymore but instead sometimes in 2024. So technically #Questlog should list it but currently it's quite misleading.

Will work on this soon.

Questlog 0.16 just dropped. This is a smaller one with a convenience few changes here and there.

Main points:
- Improved keyboard navigation
- Persistent playlist urls
- Improvements in 2FA

I discussed this with some users in the past and we came to the conclusion, that sub-states would probably the best. But I think that would take away the simplicity from Questlog. Am I looking to narrow at this or do you think this one additional status would add value and keep simplicity?

Or am I missing maybe another status that could be added? Then sub-states would probably make more sense to keep it clean.

Just adding another status would probably take 30 minutes for me (frontend would be the main part here because of different viewport sizes). Sub-states would be a complete different UI/UX-Challenge.

I definitely need some discussions about this to decide what to to. I have a preference but I want to make the best game tracking tool not only for me but also for my users (and future users).

For everyone that has no idea what I’m talking about: Questlog is a small new game tracking website and you can put a game into different states to keep track of them. Currently there are 4 states. I’m thinking about adding a fifth one (or more if needed), but the way I would do this isn’t decided yet.

Well I've done it now. After sending the warning to all of the "terrorist" organizations, Walton Simons has declared me an enemy of UNATCO and the state. I made it back to Paul at the hotel, and let's just say we were the only ones who left the building... :mastoinnocent:

I took the subway to get away from the scene, but Agent Navarre was waiting for me on the other side. I was pretty beat up already. They trapped me.

Paul was right, of course. Found the intel he was talking about, and UNATCO is apparently even worse than we thought. Gotta warn NSF and co.

I returned to UNATCO-HQ on Liberty Island. Manderly weren't happy about me not wanting to kill Lebedev. The higher-ups are threatening to "killswitch" Paul. What a hot mess...

Jock is taking me into New York on a side-gig, to talk with Paul and possibly rescue him. Gotta see what comes out of that.

On a more cheerful note, I saw two of the staff flirting in a couch on my way to the MedBay. Cute 😂

I identified the last containers of the Ambrosia vaccine, only to discover something shocking. My brother Paul is working for the NSF terrorists! He appears to believe in a grand conspiracy, Illuminati, world order, the Gray Death virus being man-made.

The terrorist leader Lebedev was on-site, and shared some peculiar info. Unfortunately, agent Navarre terminated him before I could question him further.

Am I the bad guy?
