I was asked #today what I get out of going to #taiChi and #Quigung each week.
It took a while to get the answer, but it's a full package of physical exercise, mental distraction, and the socialising after the class.
The 'mental distraction' thing is important to me to shut off the stuff going on in life.
It goes hand in hand with the importance of #exercise in maintaining #mentalhealth.
I'm feel like a perpetual beginner when it comes to Tai chi, but I think that's a common thought!

Woken up early #today by the cat wanting food.
Didn't really feel like going to #taiChi / #Quigung but enjoyed it in the end.
Phone call from the vet following the tests on the #cat last week - he's losing a lot of protein in his urine and has Vitamin B12 deficiency. This might account for his weight loss.
So - he's getting kidney medication, and weekly B12 injections for a month.
He'll hate us. My wallet already hurts.
Right.
That's #taiChi & #Quigung done. Supermarket shop done. Lunch is underway.
The retched car lost the pairing to the phones and that's sorted out.
The afternoon will be mostly spent on the M1.
After our hospital visit we intend having dinner at the pub in Welford on our way home

I was advised to try #taiChi when I first had major #depression about 12 years ago.
I've stuck with it over the years. Although I feel like a perpetual beginner it is a genuinely good thing to help with #mentalhealth.
While you are doing Tai Chi or #Quigung you can't think about anything else!
