#SciArtSeptember today's prompt is apparently "simian" and I realized I have something that fits! This tiny quilt is about 8 inches wide and 19 inches tall. It is part of a series that depicts stages of evolution and this is #6. I call it "Grandpas in the Tree".

Spent 45 minutes laying out my 3d edition #quilt. I think this is the final layout but I’m going to come back to it tomorrow with fresh eyes.

(Third edition because I got the original tattered quilt from goodwill & deconstructed it. Made a new quilt with the remnants. Then deconstructed that one a few years later. This is the third edition. There are no original fabrics remaining.)

Finished the third and final quilt for my youngest sister’s kids. I think he will like it. The free stitch quilted simple vining leaf pattern went better than I thought it would through my little Brother sewing machine. The cat is kinda judgmental though. More #epp (#englishpaperpiecing) and having fun as always. I am making a pillow for my son's room. I made my first patchwork for it around 20 years ago and now it is tattered and needs a new cover. The pillow itself is probably closer to 40 years old, but still very comfortable! 😍 I will show a before and after at some point. This is my kind of holiday! 48 hexagons down, a lot more to go! ❤️

I get bags of remnants from a friend and there are frequently partial pieced squares or wonky leftover triangles. Made this table topper for my sister of the bits and pieces. #quilt #quilting #quilters #fiberarts

Three long strips made from one of the #stashbuster patterns from "Just get it done quilts" on Youtube. Haphazardly backed with fleece, squared badly and QAYG-joined even worse 😂. Finished size unknown, good enough to cover this sofabed though. Prints are #stripes, #dots, conical flasks, #sheep, #bees, #planets, #llamas, #lemons, musical notes, #cats. OH said "I love all the #science!".
