Working on a #quilted pillow for one of my niblings. Finished the top today. Batting and muslin next followed by the actual quilt stitching. Debating doing that by hand as I only have a basic sewing machine. #workinprogess #quilting #OhioStar #bluey #bingo

Last hand-stitching completed this morning (10 metres of bias binding, very slow, very meditative), very happy with this project. An excuse to use fabrics from my precious stash, in a project that I hope will be long-lasting.

Traditional #shoofly blocks joined with #improvised quilting. Photographed after tumble drying so a lot less wrinkly IRL. Half quilting #cotton from stash, half #recycled bedding. Backed with fleece because I like it that way 😉. #Quilted in three pieces then joined with #sashing at the back. Finished size approx 63 by 82 in. Colour scheme and prints wouldn't be my 1st choice but it was a very well-received present.

Inspirée par la patchwork anti-gaspi de @lhaulde et n'ayant pas envie de me lancé dans un de mes nombreux projets, j'ai procrastiné en organisant mes chutes de tissus et en les coupant en petit carré et rectangle, le tout en ayant les cheveux plein de henné. 3 heures plus tard me voilà avec une chevelure orange et 2 carrés de 25cm. Il y a encore pas mal de boulot pour avoir une couverture.

This was sixteen years in the making. It got worked on, boxed up, moved house three times, shoved aside for other projects and other #quilts, babies and puppies and #knitting, forgotten about and rediscovered. And I finally put it on my bed the day before Xmas Eve ☺️

Just over seven foot square and #quilted with cotton/bamboo batting, it’s delightfully warm. Now I’ve finished though, what do I make next? 😁 #sewing #handmade

Welp… it’s not pretty… but my #Hygge Glow #adventcalendar is officially #quilted 😳
All that remains: cut off excess fabric on all sides then sew on the binding & a dowel sleeve at top & bottom to keep everything straight when it’s hung up! 😅
Wish me luck, not entirely sure if I have enough bias tape to cover my edges 🤪

I just discovered the glorious 2016 The #Hop Project's (thehopproject.co.uk) #quilted #beer label designs for fictional #feminist #ales by the Crystal Quilters & Kidderminster Forest #Quilters.

I wanted you to see them too. All credit to The General Public project creators (generalpublic.org.uk) and all collaborators and artists.

This one I named “Apartment by the Sea” -my girls were sharing an apartment when they were in college close to the beach so…

Simple and modern-lets the batik really shine- #quilted circles to finish it off-it was incredibly soft

I like to pair curves with linear designs+ linear with curved designs

So today I've completed one batch of #sewing projects (well once oh drops up my darning needle to weave in ends). I've made 10 #quilted bowl cozies on my 100 year old #Singer #Treadle and new overlocked which i still have a very basic knowledge of what I can do with. These are super things. You can put a hot or cold bowl inside these and then comfortably carry/hold said bowl without discomfort. I use 2 X 10in squares of printed fabric and 2 of wadding. The darts for shaping are about 2inch long
