I’ll wait until I know his fiancée a little better and then ask her if she actually even wants a quilt. I wouldn’t have presumed to make one for their bed…just a lap quilt, or maybe some kitchen accessories if she likes that better. But another time. #quilting #WeddingGifts

I’ve become addicted to the #greatBritishSewingBee , thanks to someone on tootville reminding me it existed. I’m a beginner #quilter and am in awe of what the contestants on the show make in a short time. One episode they had to make a patchwork jacket and make the #patchwork first.

Well, last night I learnt about chintz which originated in India and how imported print #fabrics were banned in the early 1800s in Britain to try to save the British weaving industry. Of course, women found a way around the ban and made the most fabulous printed fabric clothes.

I’m working on teeny tiny appliqué today - so these teeny tiny finds, seemed appropriate! 🥰

A Northern Goshawk Being Asked to Leave 😁

I’ve learnt to pay attention to the birds, when they’re squawking constantly.
Two robins in the same tree, with other small birds – plus that’s a flicker that flies in, and joins the chorus.
After several minutes of this, the Northern Goshawk flies away.

2. He noticed me, so acting casual he makes his way into the bushes, beside the laneway.
