Patient-mediated interventions in hospital: systematic review.

33 studies; 18 interventions .12 prompted patients to self-report on own health/needs/concerns, 6 to provide feedback about clinical practice. May improve patient #communication; some evidence of professional #behaviourchange. Interventions that encouraged self-report of health/needs/concerns appeared more successful.

Something we've been talking a lot about recently. Hard to justify #QualityImprovement (#QI, #QuImp) in already over-committed staff if it's not explicitly about removing low-value tasks or otherwise improving their workflow.

I'm collaborating with Crohn’s & Colitis UK, people with #IBD, gastroenterologists and IBD nurses to #CoDesign sevices in a #QualityImprovement (#QI, #QuImp) project.

As part of it, we've supported people with IBD to design a patient-reported experience measure. #PREMs
