Tonight in 1977 — #TheLoveBoat II debuted on ABC.
The second (of three) #LoveBoat pilot movies introduced #BernieKopell as Doc, #FredGrandy as Gopher, and #TedLange as Isaac (with a different captain (#QuinnRedeker) and cruise director (#DianeStilwell).
After one more pilot (in May), the series debuted in Sept, 1977.

Actor #QuinnRedeker died December 20 at age 86. Redeker is best known for his soap opera roles as Alex Marshall on #DaysOfOurLives, and as Rex Sterling on #TheYoungAndTheRestless. He was also Oscar nominated for his story credit on Best Picture winner #TheDeerHunter.
