If you notice I’m finishing one item on my plate before starting another, it’s because I save the best for last. Yes, all my life, I still clean up my plate.

Corollary: In a salad or casserole I like some of each component in every bite. If I eat all of one component first it’s because it doesn’t belong there. E.g. peas belong in very few dishes other than Indian cuisine.
