The first thing you have to do if you want to leave Twitter completely is to begin to break the addiction.

To that end, the easiest first step is to remove the Twitter application from your phone and keep only Mastodon apps on your phone.

This allows you to experience what it's going to feel like without fear of jumping off a cliff, no need to delete your Twigter account yet.

A few weeks down the road you can take further steps.

I think it's time to ask everyone of conscience to leave the #birdsite. This is especially important for journalists and other media people and organizations.
