I made an iOS Shortuct for formatting quote retoots! Just click Share, Copy Post, Mastodon Quote ReToot shortcut, then paste into the compose window. I tried adding the ability to add media through the shortcut but was unable to, the easiest way to add photos is normally in the Composition window.

I'm wondering how much of the #QuoteRetoot or not debate is revolving around that very real sense that it's calmer/safer/better here vs birdsite, and that just happens to be a clear difference to latch onto.

I doubt mastodon would feel the same were it populated by the same accounts that made birdsite suck, #QT or not. Ultimately most of us new folk came here when #birdsite took a hard right, so we're broadly in political agreement. An echo chamber is always more comfortable.
