Considering Turkey's see-saw evolution on #democracy and #ruleoflaw & its position on religious matters , I agree.

My periodisk objections:
1) 🇹🇷 fails to qualify as a democracy
2) 🇹🇷 acceps no diversity, cf its treatment of Kurds & other minorities
3) Religion should not mix with politics. Looking at e.g. how 🇹🇷 society reacts to #quranburning in 🇸🇪 🇩🇰 ....

While I think people who burn a quran are idiots, WHY would religions get more protection than other value frameworks, e.g. #HumanRights?

If there is one thing I love about the changing global power relations, it must be that we are now looking at a world, where a group of Muslim countries in the Global South can pressure the Danish government to the point, where it will attempt to limit or make it illegal to burn the Quran.

I feel such pleasure thinking about all the racist assholes in Denmark, who have been going to Muslim neighbourhoods to spread hate by burning the Quran in recent years.
