251 followers · 690 posts · Server hachyderm.ioGot my OBD-II reader yesterday and put it on my #R56 #MiniCooper this afternoon to chase the Check Engine Light. P0071 and P0073.
It’s the dang Ambient Air Sensor again, which I had replaced last month (along with its socket). Interestingly, it reads -40°F today (open circuit symptom) but read 61°F yesterday when it was pouring.
Either the sensor isn’t seated properly or I have a dinged up wire. I’d prefer the former; I dread chasing a wiring harness gremlin.

My #Mini #Cooper #R56 #restoration continued in May 2022, resprayed alloys+hubcaps with new badges/tyres, worked on what was clearly a previously botched repair, either a new 1/4 was fitted badly or it had a ding, paint flaked, was expecting rust and got filler, was then a doing proper fix.
