Wife and I may have finally compromised on an engine for the race car... I always wanted a rotary in it, and her a V8 (we will both race it).

I suggested if we put an LS or 1UZ in it, then I'll make 8 into 1 headers.

Which are a bitch to make, but totally worth it.

Fragged clutch is out. Tilton ceramic-metallic 7.25” clutch is in. This rotating assembly about 10.3 lb lighter but the clutch is a similar diameter at 185 mm (?) versus 200 mm for a stock MR2 I think.

I saw a post somewhere about putting up a race car from the year you were born. I choose this Sauber. As not only is it from 1985,but I ended up working for one of its drivers about 10 years ago. I was also lucky enough to be given driving lessons from him. ( in an old rothmans 944).

So lets see em. Post a from the year you were born. Any genre of racing is cool.
