The story goes that a young Algerian singer went to see The Clash in Paris in early 80s. He stumbled upon the band before the concert and gave them a tape with his band that mixed Arabic music with punk, and a bit later The Clash released their song Rock the casbah. 20 years later the Algerian singer released his cover called Rock el casbah.
