听到 Eleanor 终于结束和 Louis VII 的婚姻——但她没有胜利的感觉，因为她苦苦寻求将婚姻作废时没有人支持她，而她终于获得自由是因为 Louis VII 终于扛不住压力决定放弃 Eleanor 。

从目前的改编来看，编剧找到的切入点，或者说 Eleanor 的动机，是她对自己治理 Aquitaine 的渴望——她不理解为什么作为她父亲的长女，Duchess of Aquitaine ，她始终不能获得“亲自”治理 Aquitaine 的机会。

父亲去世时她只有15岁，她的监护人法王 Louis VI 为了获得 Aquitaine 安排了她与自己儿子（未来的 Louis VII）的婚姻，年幼的 Eleanor 以为她作为继承人可以 negotiate，但法国贵族理所当然地认为她嫁给了法王，她的财产就和她一起属于法国了——即使是在后来若干大事件里没有展现出多少政治才能、也并不英明果敢的 Louis VII 也如此认为。他们将 Aquitaine 当作自己的二等属地，任意制定政策，甚至试图逼迫 Eleanor 签署把 Aquitaine 送给 Louis VII。

到 Louis VII 终于放弃 Eleanor 的时候，Eleanor 物色到了下一个结婚对象，年轻的正准备继承英国的 Henry II。他们在床上谈条件时 Eleanor 说：Aquitaine 是我的，永远是我的。

Very excited that Chris Burke's "Mandible Judy" spinoff, "Under Dead Water", of which I voice the narrator and one of the leads, was selected as a Platinum selection for HEAR Now: The Audio Fiction and Arts Festival!

This is the second time I have been on a Platinum project, since #DraculaRadioPlay in 2018. It's nice to be back, especially with another horror project!

The full set includes dramatizations of maybe seven J. G. Ballard stories and a six-part dramatization of the Ursula Le Guin novel The Dispossessed as well.

Excited to see someone has tracked down and digitized seemingly all episodes of #CBC #SciFi #RadioDrama #VanishingPoint that were released on audio cassette in the 1980s. I knew a good chunk of Nightfall episodes had been tracked down and digitized in good quality in the last few years but was unaware of similar efforts for Vanishing Point until a few minutes ago. Only 24 episodes but that’s all that were released on cassette.

I highly recommend all Traveller GMs listen to the BBC radio show Cabin Pressure. It’s got great examples of an independent crew trying to provide high passage. Except it’s a charter airline, but much of the dynamics apply.

And for extra fun I think it’s the most hilarious role Benedict Cumberbatch ever played.
