@capheind I thought you meant the actual Radio Fun, a Wayne Green W2NSD-edited tabloid for newbs that started c.1992. It was pretty good - I was a subscriber!

Despite 30 years as an amateur, I still bought one of the first available FM CBs in '21 and even wrote about it for one of @qrper 's blogs ... for pretty much the reasons you state (I didn't know any actual truckers).

The past month has been a busy period. My mother broke her hip. Many hours caregiver. The #radiohobby, #Twitter & #mastodon were on standby for a while.

Picked up an Acer aspire 1400 laptop today. (pentium 4, 1 GB RAM, 400 mhz, 20 GB disk, #WindowsXP) Very curious about his (offline) options for my #radiohobby...
