Scientists claim that a new nuclear medicine therapy could completely cure blood cancer non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The therapy uses a radioimmunotherapy drug that targets and kills cancer cells with a radioactive isotope. The therapy was tested in mice and showed remarkable results, extending their survival by more than 200 days.

👉 During development, #Netrin1 is released and diffusible in the microenvironment. This study shows that in #cancer, #Netrin1 accumulates in the #ExtracellularMatrix. The authors used this property to follow its in vivo accumulation by radiolabeling and to target netrin-1-expressing tumor cells with #radioimmunotherapy.
