ALMA-sterrenwacht weer in bedrijf na cyberaanval

De ALMA-sterrenwacht in de Chileense Andes is weer in bedrijf genomen. Dit is twee maanden nadat de sterrenwacht werd gesloten wegens een cyberaanval. Dat maakte de organisatie afgelopen week bekend.

Bouw grootste radiotelescoop voor bestudering Zon voltooid

China heeft de bouw van wat nu de grootste radiotelescoop ter wereld is voor het bestuderen van de Zon, voltooid. De hele opstelling bestaat uit 313 schotels met elk een doorsnede van 6 meter die zijn verdeeld over een cirkel met een diameter van 3,14 kilometer.
