the purpose of this legislation is to stir up the #toryBase against strtikers; it is not to protect vital services, since it will not do that even assuming it survives into law.

On what planet are #railServices essential when almost all office workers are able to WFH? And air & marine transport apparently is not essential

I do not see many #rail transported ambulances, plice or fire appliances....

This is a particular issue for people travelling to stations that are not wheelchair accessible (including those like my local station where there is a ramp but the only way you could pull open the gate at the top if you are alone in a wheelchair would be to have a shepherd's crook).

Just a thought: if rail services are deemed so important that strikes should be made illegal so as not to disrupt essential travel should those services be delivered by privatised companies whose duty to the shareholder trumps duty to the travelling public?
