Started using #raindrop and #omnivore for bookmark management and article saving. I think it will be nice and help me feel more organized.

I've not been using the browser's bookmark toolbar for well over a week now and, to be honest, I don't really miss it. Sites I frequently visit appear as I type their URL and the less frequent ones are in #Raindrop. 🙂

Ich nutze schon seit Ewigkeiten #Wallabag zum Speichern von Websites, die ich später lesen will. Ich archiviere dort auch viele Artikel. Jetzt habe ich mir #Raindrop.io angeschaut und finde es sehr praktisch, dass man dort Ordner anlegen kann. Das würde ich mir auch bei Wallabag wünschen. Aber da passiert in der Entwicklung leider nicht so viel. Und über die #iOS-App muss man nicht viele Worte verlieren, die ist leider nicht so gut. Schade, denn Wallabag ist eine tolle Selfhosting-Lösung.

@jan I've finally ditched #Pocket myself as I'm now using @omnivore for saving articles and #Raindrop for everything else.

#Omnivore also has a #Logseq plugin.

Just had a daft twat moment. I've been using #Raindrop for well over a year now, but only now have I discovered that they have desktop apps... including a Snap package for #Linux. 😅

Guess this means one less reason to use #Pocket! 😀

Just discovered a #raindrop #obsidian plugin that enables me to pull in all raindrop bookmarks tagged with the note's tags.. WAT.

It's not official, you have to manually load it, but you can literally query your bookmarks inside of all my notes. I made a templater that mirrors my note's tags in the search. Are you kidding me?! This is awesome!

Anybody using #omnivore? How would you compare it to #raindrop or #wallabag?

Really, really enjoying https://raindrop.io as a Bookmark Manager. Integrated as a sidebar in Firefox it makes for a really pleasant experience of, well, bookmarking but also rediscovering what you once discovered.

And a mature API makes for some really good integrations with knowledge management and Mastodon.

Was thinking of doing a PoC to automatically writing a toot for recently bookmarked sites if a specific tag is associated with the bookmark.

Gotta say it's pretty slick.

I failed at spinning up a #wallabag docker setup, I'll get back to it later.

I've been using #Chrome because of a bug in #Vivaldi where the #Raindrop extension crashes the browser. Just today I realised that Vivaldi has an alternative where I can just add Raindrop to the sidebar.

I've been using raindrop.io quite a lot recently to separate my bookmarks/favourites from my web browser (if you use different browsers across different OSes you know the struggle) and it works very well. I can recommend it to not be tied to a particular browser
