Unfortunately you are correct that the majority of the human race is just plodding along doing the same thing.

I would like to add a positive spin to it, though.

Your and my visible worlds are better since leaving Twitter. My world has more love in it since making a conscious decision to reject hate in all of it's forms. The task is to expand that bubble. The #Fediverse is the home base from which we can expand our bubble. By our I mean #antifascist.

I'm a cis het white male with a wife and 2 daughters. A #trans man's smile may have saved my life. One of the first smiling faces that I saw the day I first entered a 12-step room belonged to a trans man. Not only did he help me not drink alcohol, he reintroduced me to #RamDass and #AlanWatts.

Meeting him 4 days before trump was inaugurated was a crash course in being an #ally and #activist for #TransRights.

Long story short, Alan Watts.

I read "The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are"in college. It opened me up to possibilities and a different way of looking at things. Lots happened.

About 15 years later my first sponsor in a 12-step program was a beautiful human, trans man and big fan of Ram Dass.

I moved so lost conact with him, but started listening to #RamDass & #AlanWatts talks as podcasts. Added in #Taoism pods and started reading the #TTC.
