It’s #ramps season! Every year I feel guilty for eating these delicious pungent alliums because they’re so regrettably overforaged. So the last few years I’ve been buying a handful of bare root ramps and planting them somewhere. I have a bunch growing in my apartment building’s front yard, and these babies just pushed up in my neighborhood’s community garden. There’s a theory that #Chicago is named for these guys. Imagine if we could fill the city’s parkway strips with them! ^_^
