Randy Weston's "Blue Moses" - it's true, #RandyWeston wanted to play acoustic for this album but #CreedTaylor insisted on electric. Randy wasn't pleased at the time, but in his autobiography agrees that this album set him up to pay off his debts and was a major contributor to his later work.

The title track, a suite in four movements, is monumental : a 24-piece big band playing Melba Liston’s arrangements of Weston’s music, fueled by African rhythms, with poetry and lyrics by Langston Hughes.
