Scientists use satellite images to study the degradation of #rangelands in Tanzania @uniofyork @SciReports https://phys.org/news/2023-02-scientists-satellite-images-degradation-rangelands.html
I'll be presenting my #research on the 2018 Woolsey #wildfire and how #invasive plants, particularly annual grasses, are affecting wildfires throughout southern California. We used #communityscience , ground measurements for burn severity, and vegetation analysis to see month after month vegetation post wildfire. I'll be at the #rangelands conference in Boise, Idaho. If you're also there, come check out my poster and let's talk. Please share this. Calochortus catalinae for that wow factor.

Hello! I am a #research #soil scientist, located at the Matanuska Experiment #Farm (UAFairbanks) in Palmer, #Alaska.
I study how #LandManagement and #EnvironmentalChange influence soil organisms, their activities, and their habitat. I have studied soil #ecology in #rangelands, #crop systems, and #forests. Current projects focus on evaluating #SoilHealth practices across AK #agriculture systems.
I hope to share knowledge about AK soils alongside our research and outreach efforts.

I guess many in the GN (and some in the GS) would say "That's easy to solve - just stop keeping cattle", or something similar.
