I’m working on this #MR UI library, and one feature I want it to have is built in physics.

at first I went with #ammojs. but oof it took a week to get it even close to working the way I wanted it to.

Someone suggested I try #rapier. So I did. Had it fully integrated and bug free within the day.

The differentiator? great docs. Ammo is more feature complete but it's docs are terrible. rapier had clear and navigable docs with examples. shout out to #dimforge

How do you pause the systems of a third-party plugin in #Bevy ?

I'd like to pause the #Rapier physics along with the rest of the game...

I'm using States to pause all other systems, but I can't figure out how to put a whole plugin into a state set :(

I was really nervous that I would just not know how to fence anymore, but as soon as I started I was like oh, right, this is how this goes. The muscle memory is all there, some of it just needs some adjustment.

I’m even more excited for summer event season now.

Today I picked up my sword for the first time since last fall. It felt great to be back.

I took it easy, only did a few bouts. My hand tired quickly but my arms did not - the work I’ve been doing at the gym is paying off.

Unsure if I’ve talked about it here - I had hand surgery in November, and as part of that they removed a tendon from ny pinkie. So in minor yet significant ways, my hand works differently now - and that was *very* evident to me when handling my sword.

Wanted to learn some more threlte and rapier, so I continued working on my moto game.

using prismatic joints for the forks and rear suspension worked great. just needed to limit the travel and configure the force based motor of that joint. so it always tries to be at it's maximum.

I'm still having troubles with friction. when landing the bike seems to stop in it's tracks.

any suggestions on how to fix that?
