Stumbled upon, and currently reading Oliver Darkshire's Once Upon a Tome: The Misadventures of a Rare Bookseller. (2022) Not particularly into rare books, but books of any kind can be interesting. It's a very companionable read so far. There is humour.

Haven't done an #introduction post in a while, so for all the new arrivals: hi! I'm Phoenix. I do a lot of #bookbinding (especially #fanbinding lately as a means of preserving fandom history + just making really cool books of fanfic I love); I'm interested in #preservation, #bookconservation, #archives, and #rarebooks on a more professional level, too. Like every good former English major, I also #amwriting a couple novels with varying degrees of success.

Recently had to switch servers and with another user influx, here’s my #introduction redo: like I told my first diary, I like #writing and I love #animals. There’s some other pertinent info such as, #canadian - degrees in #cognitivescience #philosophy #Education and #creativewriting … interests in collecting old and #rarebooks #ai and #fiction … would love to make friends with interests in all things literary. ☺️
