Made a big milestone with the #momobox: got it packaged and did some end user testing! Finished the new #3dprinted enclosure and soldered the #raspberypi #pico to the other components over the last couple of days. 🤓

Sometimes I want to build somthing really complex and learn something new. Others I just want to have some fun and make a silly project.

That’s why I built my cat this virtual window out of a super cheap old monitor, so she can watch the birds “in the garden” even though it’s winter.

Does anyone have a known-good guide for installing #uefi firmware on a #raspberypi 4? I've tried following the instructions at the project's github page https://github.com/pftf/RPi4 without success. I'm using #Gentoo #Linux. For the uninitiated, think #LFS on steroids.

Spent quite a lot of my last day before going back to work trying to get #fireflyiii to work on a #raspberypi I had lying around. Whilst it was time well spent I also wish I'd spent more time relaxing and not coding/sysadmining too. Getting a few hours in with my #kindle this evening to make up for it.

Not going to dick around with #Hegel (#RaspberyPi) until that issue is sorted, 'cause I wanna RUN THREE FUCKING RELAYS

@joshuaCrewe assume this is still #raspberyPi related. I spent ages looking for a battery pack that you can use as a UPS (ie you can keep it plugged in and charging and the pi plugged in and powered) but apparently it's technically v difficult electronically.

To kick off here, I'm curious what OS y'all run and what you like/dislike about it. I have one #Windows machine, but I'm mostly on #Fedora or #xububtu . I like the simplicity of Fedora and the lightweight nature of Xubuntu. I've also run #linuxlite for the same reason. Great for old/underpowered laptops! Of course, I also have a couple of #RaspberyPi "servers" for #Pihole and NAS. #Linux

May I add that #DietPi is a great OS to get set up quickly on most of these ⬆️ platforms (and many others) with one-click installs for tons of popular software.

Their list of software includes: @homeassistant, @Kodi, @octoprint, @nodered, #Pihole, #WordPress and tons more.

Today was a good day! Some happy customers and worked on some side projects. My chat bot now uses voice and is mostly responding correctly. I am going to set him up in the shop and let him talk to the kids.
