Parece que mi Ratrig Vcore 3 mientras no se usa es un sitio estupendo para que Odín intente dormir. #caturday #ratrig #3dprinting
#RatRig's V-Minion #3dPrinter building instructions carefully tell you where to place every single screw, and then you get to the last step, and it's just bags of unlabeled wires, a wiring diagram that's not entirely correct, and endstops that damage the board if they're plugged in the way the connector is keyed. The instructions were so good, and it's like they just gave up.
@DJGummikuh @foosel @Murenius @AliveDevil I recently ordered a #RatRig V-core3 as well. Do you have yours already? I went for the Standard Kit with the Rapido UHF Hotend.
Another thing the #RatRig #3dPrinter kit has in common with #LEGO is that you spend less time building than you do searching for pieces and wondering if this is finally going to be a time a piece is actually missing, but it never is.
Building the #RatRig V-Minion extruder was rougher than the cartesian bot. Tolerances are so tight on the printed parts I had to use a c clamp to press two of the screws into place and I had to expand the whole for the ptfe tube. It’s still turning out nicely, though. The build instructions have user comments at each step, and they’re really helpful for questions like “Do I really want to drill this?” #3dPrinting
@andypiper I considered the #Prusa mini, #RatRig V-Minion. The V-Minion is more rigid, uses linear rails, and comes with a Raspberry Pi. Cost with shipping from squishworks came out to $32 more than the Prusa mini. I'm building it right now (just started on the X axis) and so far am very happy with it. I also considered the #Voron Zero, but it was a lot more expensive and looked a bit finicky.
The Rat Rig V-Minion is coming along nicely. Very clear instructions—it’s like building a Lego set. #RatRig #3dPrinting
A secret project I can talk about now: I designed and printed these Magic mana coasters as a gift for some good friends of mine that I visited this weekend. They got me back into the game last year so it felt like an appropriate theme.
As an aside, this was the first time I made a lot of use of the mid-print filament change functionality on my V-Minion. It worked a treat!

The new printer is almost complete. I have a few more things to do on the print head and wiring to tidy up, and need to swap out a few temporary parts. It's been working awesome so far and I'm writing some quality-of-life macros in RepRapFirmware.

I'm considering to replace my overpriced and underperforming Mosquito Magnum on my #RatRig V-Core 3. Focus is on reliability and good protection against heatcreep (which is where the magnum sucks).
What's your preference? (I'd be glad about every boost.)

Look how vibrant this filament is! Printing a quick cali-dragon to test it out, 🤞🏻 it still looks as good once it's finished.
RatRig V-Core 3.1 is coming together! With the help of a friend, got this thing somewhat assembled this weekend, the frame is built and squared and the linear rails are all installed. Just need to get the rest of the parts put on here, make some holes for the electronics mounting and design something to hold onto the hotend.
