Back to ray tracing on the GPU in Avoyd:
I've now added the ability to use multiple storage buffers for the octree data to overcome the 2GB limit.
The approach is a little ungainly, requiring a switch statement to index the buffers, but it appears to only reduce performance by a few percent.
@pos_yo Se nota, sí, como dices... pero en mi tarjeta, y la tuya por lo que parece, más me vale tenerlo en ultra y, por desgracia, mandar a la ñorda el #RayTracing.
@pos_yo De AMD no sé. Pero el #RayTracing chupa tela aunque tengas "chipset" dedicados a ello. Al menos, en la mía, es impracticable. Fue de la primera, la RTX 2060. En el Resident Evil 2 o Control me pega un bajón de FPS bestial y la GPU en general suda como una cabrona. El Ray Tracing es algo estético. No mejora la jugabilidad como dices en el vídeo. Al menos en mi opinión.
