we were encouraged by the commissioners to read the draft reports

so simple
so clearly articulated
so… still not implemented
they did the work
why?
why still not actioned?
mob will not be surprised.
that should be telling.
and acknowledging, not from white fragility or guilt [I hope], but honestly, I don't have much skin in this game
but this pisses me off.
we as a nation really need to do a whole fuck tonne better.
as to what do do…
all I can suggest is…
listen to mob…
they're making it clear what needs doing.
so lets fucking do that.

Deaths in custody of First Nations people occurs too often. Federal government and States/Territory need to urgently take real action, and implement all of the recommendations of the 1991 Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody.
